Kfir Ziv uses photography to create new realities from the simplest of things. Over more than three decades, including many years living and working in New York, Ziv has developed an exceptional mastery of light, form, and the ability to transform an idea into a precise visual image. The expertise he cultivated through both commercial and fine art photography now serves as the foundation for works that move between fantasy and reality, humor and poetry, the familiar and the unexpected.
 

Popcorn, peppers, slices of fruit, drops of color, or a falafel ball — under Ziv’s meticulous lighting and distinctive gaze, they lose their original identity and become planets, landscapes, bodies, memories, and stories.

Ziv’s work does not seek to be complex or distant. It is accessible, sensual, and filled with a sense of discovery, yet beneath its apparent simplicity lies a rare ability to uncover beauty, drama, and humor in the things most of us overlook.

Through his images, Ziv invites viewers to pause, reconsider what seems ordinary, and discover within it a new world of imagination, wonder, and possibility.
 

His work has been exhibited at Art Basel Miami, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, and in exhibitions in Israel and internationally, and is held in private collections around the world. This year, he is exhibiting at the Fresh Paint Art Fair.
